Treat Ring Worm Naturally
Ring worm is really not a worm. It is a fungus. It starts out as a red, itchy spot somewhere on the body. It grows into a ring with normal skin in the middle. It may be scaly or blistered.
There is a greater reality which encompasses individual life experiences. It is a learning, a blending and a centering. When you take all of your experiences and blend them, you create a new color, a new symbol, a new vibration. The obvious reality has been transformed. David Chethlahe Palandin
My grandmother used to call ring worm the seven year itch. Although it has been more than seven years since I had it, that does not mean it can not come back at any time.
I contribute that to the natural way I live. I strongly believe that what we think, eat, and our lifestyle make a huge difference. Of course I did not always practice such a good way of life. It has taken a few years of hard work to finally be as healthy as I am. Now that I have let you know I’m not perfect either I would like to share some of what I know.
A fungus tends to attack you when you are stressed out. And I mean that as both mentally and physically. If you have been taking antibiotics or prescription drugs your body gets run down. Antibiotics are meant to kill the bad bacteria that is causing the symptoms you have. The bad side to that is they also kill the good bacteria in your gut. That is the bacteria you need to digest the food your eat. If you are not digesting your food you are not getting the nutrition you need. I don’t need to tell you what it means to be mentally stressed out. But the effects it has on your body are not good. It really wears down your adrenal glands. When that happens you get tired and all sorts of little symptoms start popping up. That is a whole other subject.
Let’s get started on the ring worm cure. These are some of my recommendations. To treat this particular fungus naturally is pretty simple. Start taking a good probiotic like Lactabacillus acidophilus and Bifidabacteria. If you take this for a few months you may just be cured. Or at least keep this pest at bay. Skip the processed sugar. Anytime you have a fungal or yeast problem you must cut out the sugar. They both feed on it. Actually it is a good idea to skip sugar permanently.
You can put straight tea tree oil on the infected area. Just dab some on with a q-tip two or three times a day until it is healed. This will dry it up. It also helps with the itching for awhile.
Another way to treat ring worm is geranium essential oil. I find this works better for the itch than tea tree oil. Apply it the same as above.
For those that do not mind the smell of garlic can cut a slice and bandage it over the infected spot for a couple of days.
Goldenseal also has been shown to work. Make a poultice of strong goldenseal tea and apply.
My last suggestion is grapefruit seed extract. Just dab it on like the oils.
If you use any of the oils or grapefruit keep dabing for a couple of weeks after the signs are gone. If any of these irritate the skin worse than it already is then stop using them. Everybody is different and may react to different things. Vitacost has most name brand vitamins and herbs. And they are priced right. I buy my tea tree oil here.
To treat or cure ring worm the natural way takes persistence. It is not a quick process. But most home remedies are safe with few if any side effects. These remedies can be used on most fungus that attacks the skin.
