Non-Toxic Bathroom Cleaners
Why use non-toxic bathroom cleaners? I'll tell you why. Common household cleansers, including bathroom cleaners you buy at the store contain chemicals like hydrochloric acid, hypochlorite bleach, phenols, oxalic acid, paradichlorobenzene (PDB), naphtha, o-Dichlorobenze, p-Dichlorobenze,ethanol, formaldehyde, 2-butoxyethanol, triclosan, benzalkonium chloride and sodium sulfites. These are just a few examples and I will tell you some of their hazards. Something of value is threatened, and I can act in some way to protect it. Author Unknown
Hydrochoric acid is highly corrosive and can damage the kidneys and liver.
Hypochlorite bleach is also corrosive and can cause pulmonary edema or coma if ingested. Napthas depress the central nervous system. Phenol is absorbed through the skin and can cause convulsions, coma, respiratory arrest or possibly death. It is a nerve deadening agent and can inhibit your sense of smell. Sodium sulfites can be fatal to asthmatics. Triclosan is readily absorbed through the skin and is associated with liver damage. Dichlorobenze can damage the liver and kidneys if it is inhaled. Get the idea? Most common household cleansers are toxic to you, your children and pets! And this is just the tip of the iceberg. Non-toxic bathroom cleaners are essential to your good health.
